Working in the pipe making workshop is a completely new experience for Boris.
Working with metals, on the other hand, is something he has been doing since he was a child. With a broad interest in a combination of art, design and craft, Boris trained as a goldsmith and then at the art academy for applied arts. After that, he was self-employed in his metal workshop for 25 years, with regular unique assignments in monuments.
Both during that period and now, he does the maintenance and restoration of the tower clocks and carillons in the city of Alkmaar. He now takes these experiences with him to Flentrop, where he sees how wonderful it can be to work in a team where so much knowledge comes together for organ building.
