Voicer and tuner, with us since 1991.
Jan was born and raised in Deventer and trained at the conservatories of Arnhem (Organ and Church music) and Zwolle (School music). He has been involved in many projects at home and abroad, the most important of which were: the Bätz organ in the Lutheran Church in The Hague, the Hinsz organs in Harlingen and Bolsward, the Hummel/Nitrowsky organ in Olkusz (Poland), the Schneider organ in Corvey Abbey (Germany) and the Scherer/Bünting organ in Mölln (Germany).
But he has also loved working on smaller organs, such as the Meere organ in the Reformed Chapel in Noordwijk aan Zee and the Mitterreiter organ in the Lokhorstkerk in Leiden. In addition to his work at Flentrop, Jan has been organist of the 17th century/Freytag organ of the Zuiderkerk in Enkhuizen since 1998, where he has also recorded a CD with works from das Orgelbüchlein by J.S. Bach. In addition to organs, Jan enjoys birdwatching, ice skating and photography.
